Stryker Catfish Punch Bait – Troubleshooting Guide
Getting the best performance out of your bait starts with knowing how to adjust it for the conditions. Here’s how to fix the most common issues with Stryker Punch Bait:
Problem: Bait Won’t Stay on the Hook
• Stir before use. Always mix the bait thoroughly before punching your hook in. Oil separation is normal.
• Still too soft?
Add fibrous material like shredded cotton, cattail fibers, or paper towel pieces.
Mix until it grips the hook firmly.
• Too oily?
Pour off any excess oil after stirring and add additional fibers. This makes the bait firmer without affecting scent.
Problem: Bait Is Too Dry or Crumbly
• Start by stirring well. The fibers inside need to mix evenly.
• Still too dry?
Add a small amount of cooking oil or fish oil—just a little at a time until the bait holds together properly.
Important: Never add water.
Water increases the risk of mold. Our baits are designed to stay mold-free—keep them that way.
Quick Tips for Best Results
• Use a proper punch bait hook (size #4–#6 recommended).
• Pack the hook tightly with bait. You should feel resistance when pulling it out of the jar.
• Keep your lid on tight between uses to maintain consistency.
